ON ENTERING THE NEW YEAR 

You have blessed me, Lord, to enter one more year.

You have strengthened my weak courage, banished fear.

You’ve filled me with Your awesome, mighty power,

And I thank You.

You have warmed me with Your precious, glowing love,

In mercy poured the Spirit’s rain from above,

Enveloped me with Your grace beyond compare,

And I thank You.

Quietly in my heart I sing Your glory;

Joyfully my soul rings out Your praise.

This year is Yours; just take me, Lord, and use me

In grateful, loving service all my days.

One full year after the devastating earthquake in Haiti, camps dotting the countryside were still filled with desperate refugees.
Many people need assistance.

Is God calling you to help?

FRIENDSHIP

I don’t want to go to Him
   weeping and moaning,

But singing a song,
   glad and free;

Praising, rejoicing,
   and thanking God

For all that He’s meant
   to me

Through the years.

I want Him to know

That I’ve loved Him
   to the end,

That I go to Him willingly,
   laughing with joy,

For He is my Friend.
